If my device is out of warranty, what are my rights as a consumer ?

A device warranty from a manufacturer and a customer’s right to claim a free-of-charge repair or exchange are two different rights.

If the device is outside the manufacturer’s warranty period (24 months for non-Apple devices) or our extended 24-month warranty (for Apple devices) then you may be entitled to a free repair or exchange under the Consumer Rights Act. Please note that we can’t make a decision about this in-store or over the phone, and will need to take the device back into our technical centre for further assessment.

If the fault in the device is due to damage or misuse, you’ll have to pay for the repair or replacement of the device.
