How do I activate my SIM?

New customers or connections

If you’re a Pay monthly customer, your SIM can take a few hours to connect to the network. If you still see ‘No Service’ after 12 hours, please contact us

If you’re a Pay as you go customer, top up after inserting your SIM and then make a chargeable call.

If you ordered a free Pay as you go SIM online, call 17298 (free from your Pay as you go mobile) to activate it.

Existing customers

If you’ve got a replacement SIM because your old one was lost, stolen, damaged or the wrong size for your phone, just complete our SIM swap form to activate it. Once your existing SIM stops working, insert your new Vodafone SIM into your device and you’ll be ready to go.

I’m new to Vodafone

If you want to bring a number to Vodafone from another operator, you’ll need to ask your old provider for a Porting Authorisation Code (PAC)
