Your new device should already be set up to browse the internet or send picture messages. To test this, try opening a website (not connected to Wi-Fi) or send a picture message.
If you can’t load websites or send picture messages, you’ll need to update the network settings in your device.
Setup by text
The simplest way is to use our automated setup method – we’ll send the settings to you by text message:
- Text WEB to 40127 (free from your Vodafone mobile)
- You’ll receive a text to let you know your settings are on their way
- You’ll receive a second text containing the settings – simply follow the instructions and save the settings to complete the setup
Please note – on some phones, this message may go into the configuration folder, rather than your usual text message folder.
Not received the settings?
If you didn’t get the text and have checked the configuration folder, you’ll need to update the settings manually:
- Go to: Settings
- More (under Wireless & networks)
- Mobile network
- Access Point Names
- Edit access point
- Go to: Settings
- Mobile data options
- Mobile data network

If you can’t find your device, you’ll need to refer to your phone's user guide or the manufacture's website for instructions on where to find them.
Generally, they can be found within the Mobile Data or Mobile Networks sections in your phone settings.

Recently updated your iOS software?
If you’re a Pay as you go customer and you’ve recently updated your iOS software, please make sure your APN is pp.vodafone.co.uk – all other settings will be correct.
