How do I set up a security PIN on voicemail?

To set up your security PIN, call 121 from your Vodafone phone. Note: if you’re a Pay monthly customer, this will use minutes from your monthly allowance. If you have no remaining minutes, or you’re a Pay as you go customer, or you’re outside the UK, standard call charges apply.

Choose option 4, then option 2 and follow the instructions to set up your 4-digit PIN. We recommend changing your PIN regularly and avoiding sequences like 1111, 1234 or 4321.

Setting up the security PIN will keep your voicemail secure and is required to use your voicemail outside the UK.

Choose your security level

You can then set the security level of your voicemail:

  • Standard security – you’ll need to enter your PIN if you’re not calling from your Vodafone phone, or if you’re calling from abroad.
  • High security – you’ll need to enter your PIN every time you call your voicemail to listen to your messages, even from your Vodafone phone.

What if I forget my PIN?

Your voicemail will be locked as a precaution if you get your voicemail PIN wrong three times in a row. To get your voicemail unlocked, please get in touch
