How do I clear my web browser’s cache?

Clearing your web browser cache may help you solve login issues you’re repeatedly experiencing.

The cache stores a copy of pages you’ve visited, which can result in you being asked repeatedly for security information. This is especially true if you’re browsing on your mobile.

Clearing your cache is simple – just use the following steps for the appropriate browser.

To clear your cache on Safari (desktop/laptop)

  1. Choose Safari in the upper left-hand corner and then Preferences
  2. Open the Privacy menu
  3. Choose Remove all website data and this will clear your cache

To clear your cache on Safari (iPhone)

  1. On your homescreen, go to Settings, then Safari
  2. Choose Clear History and Website Data
  3. From there, choose Clear History and Website Data and this will clear your cache (These steps are for iOS 8 – you may see Clear Cookies and Data in older versions of iOS)

To clear your cache on Chrome (desktop/laptop)

  1. Open the Chrome browser and then the menu in the upper-right of the page
  2. Choose More tools
  3. Choose Clear browsing data and this will clear your cache

To clear your cache on Chrome (mobile)

  1. Open Chrome and choose the upper right menu icon (three dots)
  2. Go to Settings and then Privacy
  3. Choose Clear Cache/ Clear Browsing Data and this will clear your cache

To clear your cache on Internet Explorer (desktop/laptop)

  1. Open Internet Explorer 8 and go to your settings menu in the top right hand corner
  2. Go to Internet options
  3. Under Browsing history choose Delete and this will clear your cache

To clear your cache on Internet Explorer (mobile)

  1. Open your browser and choose the ‘…’ icon on the bottom right
  2. Open Settings and scroll down to Delete history
  3. Choose Delete and this will clear your cache

To clear your cache on Microsoft Edge (desktop/laptop)

  1. Open Hub and then History
  2. Choose Clear all history, or choose the elements you want to delete
  3. Choose Clear and this will clear your cache

To delete your cache on Firefox (desktop/laptop)

  1. Open the Firefox browser and choose the Menu button in the upper-right of the page
  2. Choose History, then Clear recent history
  3. Ensure ‘Cache’ is selected under Details and choose Clear now, and this will clear your cache

To delete your cache on Firefox (mobile)

  1. Open the Firefox browser and choose the Menu button in the upper-right of the page
  2. Go to Settings, then Privacy
  3. Ensure ‘Cache’ is selected under Clear Private Data and choose Clear now, and this will clear your cache

To delete the cache on BlackBerry World

  1. Launch BlackBerry World, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings
  2. Go to General and then tap the Refresh BlackBerry World button
  3. Review the prompt and tap Refresh and this will clear your cache

Remember, most browser caches will record the pages you visit automatically unless you change your settings – meaning it’s a good idea to clear your cache regularly before logging into My Vodafone.
