Didn’t Ofcom rule that changes can’t be made to monthly prices without giving every customer the right to leave?

Ofcom ruled that any change to the core terms of a contract that would not be to the customer’s advantage would give the customer the right to leave with no penalty.

However, our mid-contract price increase based on the Retail Price index (RPI) will only be included in new contracts for new and upgrading customers from April 2016, which will clearly state the terms to which a customer is signing up. Should we make additional changes during that term, we would be obliged to give customers the right to leave.

For customers on existing contracts covered by the Fixed Price Promise, there’ll be no change.
