Why am I being asked for a security code when logging in to My Vodafone?

We ask you to verify your identity to make sure your personal information is kept safe and secure. This helps to protect you from cyber-crimes like phishing scams.

This security code can be sent to any of the numbers on your account. It can also be sent to any alternative contact number you’ve saved on your account, which could be a landline.

When logging in to My Vodafone, we recommend that you have your Vodafone device to hand or are near your Vodafone Home Phone. This is because we’ll send a security code to you.

Just to let you know, the security code you’ll receive from us will be active for 20 minutes.

Are you having problems completing the extra security check?

We’ve also introduced a new ‘easy login’ option. This allows you to save your username and password for 45 days, making it easier to access your account details each time you need to. You’ll still be asked to go through the security code process to complete certain tasks.
