My phone is displaying ‘PIN blocked’ – what does this mean?

You’ll see this message if your PIN has been locked, and you’ve tried unsuccessfully to unlock it using a Phone Unlocking Key (PUK).

A PUK is specific to the SIM card it was issued against. If you enter it incorrectly 10 times, your SIM card will be permanently blocked and will need to be replaced.

You can get a replacement SIM by contacting us through Live Chat, calling us on 191 (free from any Vodafone mobile) or 03333 040 191 from any other phone (standard call charges apply), or by visiting your nearest Vodafone store

Once you’ve got your replacement SIM, you’ll need to activate it using our online SIM Swap tool
