My Direct Debit hasn’t been taken. What should I do?

There are several possible reasons why your Direct Debit hasn’t been taken. Please check the following:

  1. Were there enough funds in your account when we applied for the payment? We apply for Direct Debit payments up to 10 days after we send you notification that your bill is ready, usually 3 days before the due date
  2. Are your details up to date, and do we have the correct account number and sort code for your bank account? You can check and update these on My Vodafone
  3. Has your bank blocked your Direct Debit payment to us for any reason? If so, you’ll need to check and resolve this with them directly
  4. If this is your first bill by Direct Debit, did you allow time to set it up? It can take up to 10 days to set up a Direct Debit with your bank, so if you set up your Direct Debit too close to the due date, you might need to pay for your next bill another way

Please note that we’ll take your Direct Debit payment up to 10 days after we send your bill.
