If your device is stolen or lost, you need to tell us and the police as soon as possible. You’ll also need to get a crime reference number from the police, including if you’re abroad, and pass it to us straight away.
If your device is damaged or breaks down, you need to tell us as soon as possible.
If you have your own insurance, please get in touch with your insurer as soon as you can.

Do I need to back up my device if I’m going to claim on insurance?
Yes – once your claim has been accepted and we’ve confirmed that a replacement device will be on its way, you’ll need to back up your phone to keep your photos, music and contacts safe.
