Can I use my own router with Vodafone broadband?

You can use a non-Vodafone router on our broadband network, but it needs to be one that's been approved by Openreach.

We can't offer support for other routers. If you have any network or performance issues, you'll need to reconnect your Vodafone router.

Username and passwords

To get your DSL username and password, please chat to us online.

The password for the user interface is Vodafone

Calls over the internet (VoIP)

If you choose to use your own router with our Gigafast service, you can't use apps such as Skype, WhatsApp or Facetime to make calls over the internet - Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
