If you go over your UK data allowance – or ‘out-of-plan’ – while you’re in one of our inclusive roaming destinations, you’ll be charged the same rates as in the UK
The most you’ll ever be charged is £39.33 a month. You can turn this limit off in your My Vodafone account or My Vodafone app
If you move abroad permanently or end up spending more time abroad than at home over a four-month period, you may incur extra charges when roaming. Find out how long you can roam and read our acceptable use policy.
Fair use policy on your UK data allowance when roaming
All our Pay monthly plans have a Fair Use threshold of 25GB a month when roaming in one of our inclusive roaming destinations
For example, if your plan includes 100GB data a month, you can use up to 25GB of data a month when roaming in one of our inclusive roaming destinations, without additional charges. If you exceed this threshold, you’ll be charged extra but we’ll warn you in advance.

If you upgraded or joined Vodafone before 24 February 2021
All unlimited data plans come with a data threshold of 25GB a month when roaming.
So when you take your Unlimited Lite, Unlimited or Unlimited Max plan abroad, you can use up to 25GB of data a month without any additional charges. This includes your inclusive roaming destinations and Roam-further destinations which cost £6 a day.
We'll text you when you've used 80% of your 25GB, and again when you've used it all.
Avoid extra charges by buying more data
We’ll also tell you how to buy more roaming data. You can buy as much as you like at:
- £3.65 for 1GB
- £18.25 for 5GB
If you upgraded or joined Vodafone on 24 February 2021 or later

If you reach this 25GB threshold and continue to use data in Roam-free, Global Roaming Plus and Roam-further destinations, you’ll be charged at a rate of £3.13 per 1GB until your monthly allowance renews.
