What happens on my Broadband activation day?

If you’re expecting an engineer on your activation date, you won’t need to do anything beforehand. Simply make sure you have your router – this should have been delivered ahead of your activation date.

If you’re not expecting a visit from an engineer, then make sure you’ve plugged your router in before 8am on your activation date. Follow our simple setup guide [PDF: 8.35MB] and your service will go live before midnight.

If you’re a Gigafast customer, we’ll run a small cable from your closest termination point within your street (TOBY box) directly to your home and then pass this fibre cable through a small hole in the wall to your Optical Network Termination Point (ONT). Our engineer will then test your service to ensure you’re up and running.
