What’s the difference between 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless bands?

Because Wi-Fi uses radio waves, you may have problems with interference – especially on the 2.4GHz wireless band. As this band is unlicensed, it’s also used for devices like cordless phones, baby monitors and remote-control toys. The 5GHz band isn’t so prone to interference, mainly because there are fewer 5GHz devices around.

The Vodafone Broadband router contains clever technology which automatically switches to the channel with the least interference.
