How accurately can the broadband speed checker predict the service speed that I’ll actually receive?

Our Superfast Broadband speed checker is connected to the OpenReach network and is the best way to assess the maximum you can receive at your address.

Unlike other broadband providers, we don’t slow down usage during peak times, but there are other factors that could affect the broadband speed you actually receive.

Distance from the router, the number of simultaneous active connection and whether they are wired or wireless will all impact the speed and service you actually receive.

Gigafast Broadband users will be able to select from a range of speeds, varying from 100Mbps to 900Mbps.

If you’re having problems with your broadband speed, there are a few other checks you can make to your computer, router or Wi-Fi network
