How do I set up Smart Divert remotely on my Business Phone Service?

To divert calls from your business landline phone remotely, keep the following remote divert codes and the phone number (including the area code you want to forward the calls to) ready:

  • 44 – diverts all calls immediately to your chosen number
  • 64 – diverts calls not answered within 15 seconds
  • 65 – diverts calls only when you’re on another call

If you enter your PIN or the phone number incorrectly, just hang up at any point and start again.

To remotely set up Smart Divert

  1. Dial the access number and wait for the dial tone
  2. Key in *[remote divert code]*
  3. Enter your PIN
  4. Key in *[your full business landline number, including the area code]*
  5. Enter the telephone number you want to divert the calls to
  6. Key in #

To remotely cancel Smart divert

  1. Dial the access number and wait for the dial tone
  2. Key in #[remote divert code]#
  3. Enter your PIN
  4. Key in *[your full business landline number, including the area code]#

To remotely check if Smart divert is on

  1. Dial the access number and wait for the dial tone
  2. Key in # and * together
  3. Type in the remote divert code and press *
  4. Enter your PIN
  5. Key in *[your full business landline number, including the area code]#

Note: If Smart Divert is active, you can’t use Call Divert at the same time – and the other way round.
