Voice ID provides an even greater level of security than giving a PIN or password over the phone, and it’s simpler and faster than using those details, too.
Independent research has shown that a voiceprint is as unique to an individual as a fingerprint is. Voice biometric technology is also less susceptible to fraud threats which impact traditional authentication methods like PINs and passwords.
Our systems even use playback detection technology, which detects whether someone is using a recording of your voice and prevents it being used to verify access to your details.
And on top of the security benefits, it’s quick and easy to set up. And if you have more than one Vodafone account, you can use the same voiceprint on any account you’re named on.
However, it’s completely optional – you don’t have to use it. If you were to set up Voice ID and then choose to stop using the service, we can easily update our records.
