How do I change my plan?

What’s my current plan? 

To see your monthly allowance of data, minutes and texts and how much of this you’ve used, check your plan details

Can I change to a plan with more data? 

If you often go over your monthly data allowance, you can change to a plan with more data. 

To change your plan: 

  1. Open the My Vodafone app 
  2. Tap the Data tile – this takes you to the Usage tab
  3. Choose Plan, then Change plan

If you can’t use the app right now, you can also change your plan by logging into your online account

If you change your mind, you have 14 days to go back to your old plan. 

Can I get an upgrade? 

To check if you can get an upgrade: 

  1. Open the My Vodafone app
  2. Tap the Data tile – this takes you to the Usage tab
  3. Choose Upgrade to find out if you’re eligible for an upgrade and, if not, when you will be

Can I change my plan temporarily? 

If you need more data – but just for the time being – you can add on one of our Data Extras. These give you more data on top of your regular plan.

Extras usually work out much cheaper than racking up out-of-plan charges. The cost of your Extra gets added to your bill.

You can either add on an Extra as a one-off, or make it recurring. If you set up a recurring Extra, it’ll auto-renew every month until you cancel it. 

The easiest way to add, change or remove an Extra is in the My Vodafone app. From the homescreen: 

  1. Tap the Data tile – this takes you to the Usage tab
  2. Choose the Extras tab, then Buy and manage Extras

What’s my current plan? 

If you’ve got a Big Value Bundle (also known as a Pay as you go Bundle), you can see your 30-day data allowance and how much you’ve used by checking your plan details 

Can I change my Big Value Bundle? 

Yes – if you’ve got a Big Value Bundle (also known as a Pay as you go Bundle), you can easily change it to a bundle that might suit you better

Or, if you’re currently on Pay as you go 1, you can change to a Big Value Bundle

Can I change my plan temporarily?  

If you don’t want to change to a Big Value Bundle (also known as a Pay as you go Bundle), or you only need more allowances as a one-off, you can add on one of our Extras. These give you more allowances on top of your regular plan.

Extras last 30 days, and usually work out much cheaper than racking up out-of-plan charges.

If you set up an Extra, it’ll auto-renew every 30 days until you cancel it – we take the cost from the credit on your account. If there isn’t enough credit on your account to renew the Extra, it’ll get cancelled.

The easiest way to add, change or remove an Extra is in the My Vodafone app. From the homescreen:

  1. Tap the Credit tile – this takes you to the Top up tab
  2. From there, choose the Extras tab, then See Pay as you go Extras

You can change your plan in the My Vodafone app

  • From your dashboard, scroll down to the quick links section
  • Choose Change plan for next month

Don’t forget, you can change your plan as many times as you like – the change will happen at the end of your 30-day plan.
