How do I perform a manual roam?

A manual roam resets your connection to our network, and can help with intermittent network problems such as:

  • No signal, or poor signal
  • Problems receiving text messages
  • Slow or intermittent data

Generally, you’ll find your network selection in your Settings:

  1. Select a network that’s not Vodafone, such as EE or 3
  2. Exit the menu
  3. Go back to where you changed the network selection, and select Vodafone or select automatically
  4. Exit the menu to confirm

iPhone step-by-step

  1. Settings
  2. Select Mobile Data
  3. Here, under Vodafone UK you’ll see Network Selection
  4. Tap it, and slide Automatic to off, if it’s on
  5. This will show your manual network selection options
  6. Select a network that’s not Vodafone, such as EE or 3
  7. Exit the menu
  8. Go back to Settings > Mobile Data > Network Selection
  9. Slide Automatic back on, or select vodafone UK

Android step-by-step

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Here you should see an option named Connections, Wireless Networks, or something similar
  3. Tap it
  4. Select Mobile networks
  5. Choose Network operators
  6. Slide Select automatically to off, if it’s on
  7. This will show your manual network selection options
  8. Select a network that’s not Vodafone, such as EE or 3. Don’t worry if it fails to connect
  9. Exit the menu
  10. Go back to Network operators using steps 1 – 7
  11. Slide Select automatically back on, or select vodafone uk
